Adam Cole is a multidisciplinary artist born in Melbourne and currently living and working in Brisbane. His diverse practice spans sculpture, installation, painting, and lens-based media. Working with construction processes and common building materials, he explores precarious structures, the boundaries between inside and outside, and the relationship between the body and architecture. His work evokes instability, decay, and transformation, creating forms and spaces where containment falters and perception shifts. Often leaving the means of their making exposed, he underscores the fragility of structure and meaning, echoing the uncertainties of lived experience and the wider social landscape.
Cole holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Griffith University, Queensland College of Art and Design, majoring in sculpture. where he received the award for Outstanding Achievement in Major (Sculpture, Performance & Insulation). In recent years, Cole has participated in several group exhibitions, including Undrgrowth (invitational) 2025 and was selected to exhibit work in Contemporary Wearables 23, Biennial at Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery.
